WWE’s decision to let Travis Scott get physical during the chaotic closing segment of Elimination Chamber 2025—which saw John Cena turn heel, align with The Rock, and attack Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes—continues to spark controversy.
Scott’s involvement, which included a slap to Rhodes, has led to reports that Cody suffered a legitimate busted eardrum from the moment. While Conrad Thompson revealed that Rhodes downplayed the injury, the situation has still resulted in backstage heat for the rapper within WWE.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray did not hold back his thoughts on Scott’s involvement, suggesting that the rapper should be given a “receipt” for his actions.
“Travis Scott deserves to have his jaw shattered and wired shut. It’s when the mark in the ring all of a sudden decides that he’s a pro wrestler and he knows what the hell he’s doing, and that mark is Travis Scott….”
Ray was particularly critical of Scott trying to look tough, stating that he expects consequences for the rapper.
“Dude, because Travis Scott decided that he’s going to look like some tough guy in front of the world. You got one coming, Travis. I hope it’s from Cody. If it’s not from him, I hope I never see you one day.”
With Scott now having serious heat within WWE, and Bully Ray openly calling for retaliation, it remains to be seen whether this situation leads to any further repercussions—inside or outside of the ring.
